The LA Galaxy are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos, who is currently a free agent after leaving French giants PSG.

According to Marca, the MLS side having been keeping tabs on the 37-year-old defender for some time, though there is an expectation that Ramos wants to stay in Europe.

The former Spanish international is one of the most decorated players in all of soccer, with Ramos winning the 2010 FIFA World Cup as well as four UEFA Champions League titles with Madrid.

Having left PSG this summer at the end of his contract, Ramos is yet to decide on his next destination, with the Galaxy interested in signing the veteran central defender.

However, Ramos is believed to be set on remaining in Europe and competing in the Champions League, though the former PSG star is no stranger to interest from MLS and the Galaxy.

The LA-based franchise have been linked with Ramos before, and this summer might be the last chance the Galaxy have in signing the 37-year-old before his potential retirement in the next year or two.

Ramos is one of the most famous names in soccer and a defender who is still at the top of his game, and whilst center-backs are not used to getting the Designated Player treatment in MLS, the Galaxy could make such a statement.

Greg Vanney’s side are one of the worst defensive sides in the entire league, and whilst new signing Maya Yoshida could bring something to the Galaxy, Ramos would be an incredible addition to the squad and to MLS.

With the defender in the final years of his career, the Galaxy can make a massive statement in signing Ramos, who could become one of the poster boys of the entire division.
