Thiago Silva is reportedly wanted by the LA Galaxy, with the Chelsea defender expected to leave the Premier League giants next year.
According to Brazilian publication Globo Esporte, the 39-year-old veteran is a target for the MLS giants alongside league rivals Orlando City.
With former club Fluminense also interested in Silva, the race to sign the centre-back is beginning to heat up, with the Galaxy in a good position to land the defender.

Lauded by Frank Lampard this year as a ‘world-class’ player, Silva is one of the most experienced soccer stars on the planet, with the veteran making 113 appearances for the Brazil national team.
And for the Galaxy, Silva is now seemingly a target for the LA side, with the upcoming January transfer window one of the biggest the franchise will experience in some time.
Defence is a key issue for the Galaxy going into next year’s MLS season, and Silva, even for just one year, could be a dream recruit for the California franchise.
Thiago Silva would be a statement signing for the LA Galaxy

It’s been a mixed year for the Galaxy, yet going into the January window, Greg Vanney knows that his side will need a number of statement signings if they’re to compete next year.
And Silva would be just that, with the defender still, somehow, one of the best in the world despite turning 39 earlier this year.
Having dominated Europe for almost 15 years, MLS could be a welcome change of pace for Silva, and Los Angeles would be a dream home for the defender at this stage in his career.
