Douglas Costa will soon reportedly fly out to Saudi Arabia to consider transfer proposals after being released by the LA Galaxy.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian winger plans to head out to the Middle East to organize his next move, with Costa leaving the Galaxy at the end of the 2023 MLS season.

Costa endured a mixed spell with the Galaxy despite arriving with much fanfare in 2022, with the former Bayern Munich and Juventus star scoring eight goals in 50 appearances for the Californian side.

Having been released by the club this week, though, Costa has not wasted any time in trying to find a new home, with Saudi Arabia now a likely destination for the 33-year-old.

The Middle Eastern state have been on a huge spending spree in soccer this year, and Costa could be the next big-name player to take their talents to Saudi Arabia this year.

Like many top players to call the Galaxy home in recent years, Costa’s legacy with the LA franchise will be a hard one to quantify.

One thing that is certain, though, is that the winger heading to Saudi Arabia isn’t the craziest of outcomes considering how many players are now making the move to the Middle East.

Indeed, Costa is in the twilight of his career, and one last payout is perhaps expected from a player looking to squeeze as much as possible out in the coming years.
