LA Galaxy President of Business Operations and Chief Operating Officer Tom Braun has tipped Jalen Neal to become the next superstar in MLS.

Speaking on Bloomberg’s Business of Sport podcast, the Galaxy official lauded the USMNT international as the talent who could become a star in the American top-flight.

The 20-year-old defender has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in MLS as well as a regular for the Galaxy under Greg Vanney.

With Neal making his senior USMNT debut this year, expectations are high for the Lakewood, California-born talent to hit the big time in soccer either in MLS or in Europe.

And Braun has high hopes for the youngster, with the Galaxy official saying: “I would argue that the next US star is a player who is already at the Galaxy in Jalen Neal.

“I think going into the World Cup in 2026, I’m excited to see what he can do for the national team and for the Galaxy in the next few years.”

It’s rare to place a title as heavy as ‘poster boy’ on a defender, yet Neal could be just that for the Galaxy and MLS in years to come.

The youngster is an exceptional talent who will go far in soccer if he can continue his development with the Califonia giants.

And for many, Neal is on track to becoming the next MLS defender ready to take on Europe, with a transatlantic move likely already in the works behind the scenes.
